Individual & Family Assistance in Will County, Illinois
The programs and services offered by Will County Center for Community Concerns are designed especially to meet local needs and move families towards self-sufficiency. In addition to services provided at our office, customers are informed of and referred to other resources that are available in the area to assist them in becoming more self-sufficient.
Family and Community Development Specialists
Staff members, who are certified as Family and Community Development Specialists, provide case management to promote self-sufficiency in the family. Together, the case manager and family formulate the steps and resources needed to achieve their goals.
Financial Literacy
Financial Literacy educates participants on budgeting, money management, insurances, identity theft, credit and much more.
Rental Assistance
Rental Assistance provides assistance to households who are behind on rental payments or need help with first month’s rent and deposit.
Mortgage Assistance
Mortgage Assistance provides assistance to households who are behind on mortgage payments.
Employment Support
Employment Support provides assistance for work supplies, daycare and transportation that are necessary to obtain and maintain employment.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded each year to eligible students who are pursuing higher education in the State of Illinois.
Income Tax Preparation
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program providess free tax return preparation and electronic filing by IRS-certified volunteers to qualified individuals and households.
